'Roaming' is a feature that allows you to make and receive calls abroad. Receiving calls and text messages from abroad is called 'roaming in' and making calls or sending text messages from abroad is called 'roaming out'. The Roaming-feature is automatically activated with your edpnet mobile subscription.
From the moment you are abroad, you do not longer use the edpnet mobile network, instead you use the network of the operator in the country you are in. Normally you will be automatically connected to the network of the foreign mobile operator with whom a roaming agreement is concluded.
As from the 15th of June 2017 you we will be able to call, send texts and browse the Internet on mobile devices at national rates within the EU (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland included). Whether you are called at the beach in Benidorm or at the beach in Blankenberge, it is free of charge. Calling home at the Eiffel tower in Paris, will cost you as much as calling home at the Atomium in Brussels. Sending a text message while waiting in the airport of Heathrow will cost you as much as sending a text message while waiting in the airport in Charleroi. Surfing the internet in Oslo or Liège, it is at the same tariff. And if you have an edpnet mobile package, the included volume can be used within the EU (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland included). That is why we call it ‘Roam like at home’.
Do not forget that there are still separate higher roaming tariffs outside the EU, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.
If you would like the know the specific roaming tariffs for a country, we advise you to download our edpnet mobile pricelist.
