The edpnet Mobile eSIM is easy to activate and replaces a physical SIM card.
You will receive a QR code from edpnet by email. For security reasons, this QR code can only be scanned once.
An eSIM can only be installed on devices that support eSIM technology (e.g., iPhone XS/XR or newer, Samsung Galaxy S22 or newer, Google Pixel 3/3A or newer). Please check your device manual for specific instructions.
eSIM activation on Apple iPhone (iOS)
- Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
- Select Use QR Code and scan the QR code received from edpnet.
Tip: If you open the QR code email on your iPhone or iPad, you can press and hold the QR image and choose Add eSIM.
- Choose a label for the eSIM (for example 'Primary').
- Follow the steps to activate the eSIM for calls, SMS and mobile data.
- Select your default SIM for iMessage and FaceTime.
The eSIM is now activated and ready to use.
To enable VoLTE: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data > Enable VoLTE.
eSIM activation on Android (Samsung Galaxy)
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager.
- Tap Add mobile plan.
- Choose Add using QR code.
- Scan the QR code you received from Edpnet and tap Add.
- The eSIM profile will be downloaded (this may take a few minutes).
- Return to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager.
- Enable the eSIM and select it for Calls, Messages and Mobile data.
The eSIM is now activated and ready to use.
To enable VoLTE: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > enable VoLTE calls.
